Families and carers
At Shireland Biomedical UTC all our food is prepared in house by our catering team. We do not outsource our food nor do we look to make a profit, with every pound spent reinvested into the food to ensure it is of good quality.
Our canteen serves a range of hot and cold food daily, including a range of snacks which are available during break times. We also provide a Breakfast Club from 8.15am where free bagels are available and other items, which can be purchased.
Meal deals cost £2.60 and include a choice of either a hot or cold meal or sandwich, a dessert and drink. With a wide variety of options available including halal, vegetarian and vegan option, we are able to cater to a range of requirements. We also cater for other dietary requirements upon request.
At Shireland Biomedical UTC, we operate a cashless system and use a fingerprint system to process payments. Families should ensure that students have adequate funds in their account, which can be topped up using Parent Pay. Students who are entitled to free school meals will have funds credited to their account daily so that they can purchase a meal deal.
