Where the Academy is oversubscribed, one of our admissions criteria is to offer up to 20 places to students in each of the six towns of Sandwell (known as ‘nodes’) – Wednesbury, Oldbury, Smethwick, Tipton, West Bromwich and Rowley Regis.
In a nodal point structure, we look at how close students live to their closest nodal point rather than how far they live from the Academy, which will ensure that every child in Sandwell will have the opportunity to gain a place at the Academy.

Please note that travel times given are approximate and are taken from the nodal point to the Academy building, including any sections on foot.
From Wednesbury
Nodal point location: Where Wellcroft Street meets Trouse Lane.
Transport options:

From Oldbury
Nodal point location: Where Regent Road meets Oakham Road.
Transport options:

From Smethwick
Nodal point location: Where the Harborne Road meets Abbey Road.

From West Bromwich
