Students Shine in West Midlands Police 7-a-Side Football Tournament

A group of talented students from Shireland Biomedical UTC took part in a 7-a-side football tournament organised by West Midlands Police. The event, designed to promote community engagement, also celebrated Black History Month, highlighting the importance and values of diversity, inclusion and teamwork. 

 

Students from the Academy demonstrated amazing skill throughout the competition, winning four out of five matches. Their performance was marked by a high level of professionalism and sportsmanship, standing them out as exemplary representatives of the school.  

 

A particular highlight of the day was Abdul-Muiz, who earned the prestigious Man of the Match award for his exceptional contribution to the team’s success. 

 

Gulfam Shahzad, Principal at Shireland Biomedical UTC, commented: “Our students displayed exceptional dedication and teamwork throughout the tournament, reflecting the values we champion at Shireland Biomedical UTC. Their ability to perform under pressure, while maintaining such high standards of sportsmanship, was truly impressive. I am incredibly proud of their efforts, and they have set a great example for others to follow.” 

 

The students’ dedication and hard work throughout the tournament serve as a testament to Shireland Biomedical UTC’s commitment to fostering both academic excellence and personal development. Their success reflects the school’s ongoing mission to nurture well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to their community.
