Sixth form students participated in a financial literacy inspiration session delivered by Pali Hanspal and Olivia Bailey from The West Brom Building Society.
The session provided students with essential financial skills, covering key topics such as salaries and deductions, different types of bank accounts, and the meaning of Interest Rates and Annual Percentage Rate (APR). Through these insights, students gained a deeper understanding of budgeting, the risks of unaffordable debt, and how to make informed financial decisions as they prepare for independent adult life.
By equipping students with this knowledge, the Academy continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting young people in developing strong, essential life skills that will benefit them for years to come.
