Dear Parents,
First of all, my apologies for the closure which was unavoidable due to the boiler breaking down today. The boiler failure caused some water leakage and problems with heating and water access across site. Our decision to close was made due to the health and safety risks posed to our students.
We have now isolated the problem and engineers are currently onsite repairing the boiler. In addition, an external cleaning company have been on site to support with drying out carpets etc.
However, we will not know if the repairs have been successful until later this afternoon. All being well I expect to open the school as normal tomorrow, but I will not be certain until late this afternoon. Therefore, I will send another communication at 5.00 pm this evening outlining our plans for tomorrow.
I am so sorry I couldn’t bring you better news immediately and I fully appreciate the level disruption this has caused to families, but I do hope that I can communicate a more positive outcome for tomorrow when I email at 5.00 pm.
